How to Play Minesweeper

1. 1Pick a difficulty, then reveal any square to open your first safe area.
2. 2Each number tells you how many mines touch that square, including diagonals.
3. 3Flag every square you believe hides a mine and reveal everything else to win.

Rules

• Revealing a mine ends the game immediately.
• Your first click is always safe — mines are placed after it.
• Empty squares cascade automatically, opening neighbouring safe areas.
• The game is won when every non-mine square has been revealed.

Controls

• Left click or tap to reveal a square.
• Right click, or switch to Flag mode and tap, to place a flag.
• Use the difficulty selector to change grid size and mine count.

Tips & Strategy

• Start from the corners and edges where fewer neighbours make deductions simpler.
• A number that already touches that many flags means its other neighbours are safe.
• Flag mode is far more reliable than long-pressing on a phone.
